Welcome to New Forest Memories.

The New Forest is a special place, where ponies and other farm animals are ‘turned out’ to roam free over two hundred square miles of beautiful countryside.

New Forest History

The New Forest Trust has been recording the memories of the people who look after these animals and the Forest they roam. You can listen to their stories, and learn more about their way of life and about the Forest itself. You can even learn how to make your own recordings to go on this site.

My First Point to Point

Raymond Bennet

Raymond is a well-known commoner living in the north of the forest. Hear him tell about his first time competing in the famous New Forest ‘Point to Point’ races.
